Take your 'samo, samo' traditional button-down shirt and leave it with Annie and her magic design wand for a little while.......what emerges is quite extraordinary.......You can still detect the structure of the original, with the fold-over collar and the buttons down the front. The sleeves are long and made more versatile with sporty roll-up tabs for warmer weather.And then things get really interesting....the front of the shirt is layered with angled fabric that falls into soft cascade ruffling down the sides.....overall form becomes a swingy a-line.....pleats fall from the back yoke to create a soft fullness, and it becomes extra long, about mid-thigh, so you could wear it with leggings if you want. Then back to the original, with a hemline that's softly curved and longest in front/back.It's made out of Lotustraders' textured rayon, a deliciously soft and silky fabric that's a joy to wear. The drape and flow of the fabric is just superb. Colors are rich and pure.So, what we wind up with is quite extraordinary, very sophisticated, ultra-chic fashion that's also versatile and extra fun to wear.
